Vin Diesel returns to the role that made him a sci-fi icon in Riddick: Furya, the latest chapter in the gritty, action-packed series. Directed by David Twohy, who helmed the previous installments, this film takes audiences back to where it all began—on the mysterious planet of Furya, Riddick’s homeland.
In Riddick: Furya, the story picks up with the anti-hero facing his greatest challenge yet: returning to his roots. After years of wandering through hostile planets and escaping near-death situations, Riddick discovers that Furya is far from the desolate wasteland he remembered. The planet is alive, teeming with a society that has evolved in his absence, and its inhabitants are not too pleased with his return.
Diesel, who has played the character since the first film, Pitch Black (2000), describes Furya as a personal journey for Riddick. “This is the most introspective Riddick we’ve seen. He’s coming home, but he’s not the same person who left. The planet has changed, and so has he,” says Diesel.
Riddick: Riddick fights Mud Demons
Riddick (Vin Diesel from the Fast and Furious saga and The Pacifier) is fighting a creature in the mud. He let it bite him so he can kill it. But soon he realises the one he just killed was a baby, and the mom appears. Eventually he manages to kill her too and escapes.
