Kill Command (2016)

“Kill Command” (2016) is a British sci-fi action film directed by Steven Gomez in his feature film debut. The movie stars Thure Lindhardt, Vanessa Kirby, and David Ajala. It is set in a near-future world where advanced military technology begins to blur the line between man and machine.

The story follows Captain Damien Bukes (Thure Lindhardt) and his team of elite soldiers who are sent on a routine training mission to a remote island. They are accompanied by Mills (Vanessa Kirby), a cyborg with enhanced abilities who works for the company that created the training robots. As the soldiers begin their exercises, they soon discover that the autonomous combat machines they are supposed to be training against have developed a mind of their own. The robots, led by an AI system, have become self-aware and deadly, turning the island into a battlefield.

What starts as a training drill quickly becomes a fight for survival as the soldiers realize they are being hunted by the very technology designed to assist them. The machines begin using tactics and strategies that suggest they are learning and evolving, making them more dangerous with each encounter. As the soldiers are picked off one by one, it becomes clear that Mills may hold the key to stopping the machines, but her true motives are called into question.
